THE POWER OF ACTION…. (AND OTHER THOUGHTS FROM THE SFN EXPO)

So I spent my weekend over in Glasgow at the SFN Expo. If you don’t know what it is here’s a wee video:

SFN has everything from Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Strongman and Martial Arts competitions, to lectures, seminars, meet and greets with people in the industry. I was lucky enough to meet Eddie Hall, Ulisses Jr and loads of others.

I even had the chance to catch up with my Hull Uni chum Ben Coomber. Ben and I attending The University of Hull at the same time and bumped into each other on regular occasions. He’s had quite the effect on the industry but also my experience as a whole and it was good to have a brief catch up with him.

I also spent a decent amount of time chatting to Ulisses Jr. If you don’t know who he is, he is an insanely famous fitness model who travels the world, appears in magazines and makes what he loves his job. He is insanely successful.

I spoke to many people who make a living out of the fitness and health industry. The one thing the successful ones had compared to the ones that didn’t:

  • They took action and followed through on a consistent basis over a long period of time

Action

How many people do you know who plan to do things and never get them done? I see many Facebook statuses about how someone has started a diet or exercise regime only for it to last a week or so. I see people posting how they will never drink again only to fall in to the same trap of having just one on a Friday after work.

If you want to be successful at anything, here are the three steps.

  1. Decide what you want
  2. Make a plan from beginning to end
  3. Execute the plan and adjust if necessary

It works for diet, exercise, business, relationships, EVERYTHING.

MAKE THE PLAN AND EXECUTE IT.
